1974 obtained the Certificate of Proficiency from the National Court Reporters Association (this is now known as the Registered Professional Reporter certification)
1978 passed the Merit test from NCRA which is now called the Registered Merit Reporter certification
1994 passed the Registered Diplomate Reporter test by NCRA.

1971 worked for a brief period of time as a freelance reporter before being employed by the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC)
1971 to 1974 was employed as a hearing reporter for the PUC
1974 to 1980 operated Greenley & Associates, a freelance reporting firm in San Francisco, CA
1980 to 1997 was a principal with Combs & Greenley, Inc., a freelance court reporting firm in San Francisco. 
1997 Combs & Greenley, Inc., was acquired by LegaLink, subsequently WordWave.  My position was area president in charge of operations for San Francisco
2006 WordWave was acquired by Merrill Corporation out of St. Paul, MN.  I remained employed by Merrill until February 1, 2008
 
I'm proud to have been involved in the initial development of RB (Reporter Base) in the mid-80's with Ken Combs and Yong Lee.  RB is the most widely used back office application by court reporting firms today.   I have been certified as a consultant on RB7 by OMTI.
